We have two Art Shows coming up soon! Several student pieces have been selected for these shows, and each event will have scheduled times for viewing the artwork. If your child’s artwork has been selected, they will be bringing home additional information. Our students do some amazing work in art class, and we are excited to showcase their talent. Next week is the State FFA Convention, and FFA has some exciting news!
These four girls who will be recognized next Friday in Columbia at the Missouri State FFA Convention: Reagan Ahart, Cally Rains, Maddie Blankenship, and Leila Wright. Congratulations, girls—this honor is well deserved!

Ag Science and Science Research students will be presenting their projects this evening. These students are amazing in the work they have done with their projects. They will soon be heading to their state competitions, and we wish them the best of luck!









The Community Reading Program is still going strong! We truly appreciate all of our volunteers who are taking the time to read with our students and support our Lion readers. The last day of the program will be April 16. 🦁📚






Senior Spotlight this week is Morgan Shreve! She will be attending State Technical College to pursue the Dental Assisting program. Morgan has been involved in several school activities and sports throughout her high school career. We are proud of all she has accomplished and wish her the very best in her future!

The JH Track team will be traveling to Osage High School today to compete in the Osage Open Meet. The bus will leave at 12:30pm.

On Saturday the Betterment Committee will be having an Easter Egg Hunt at the Tuscumbia Park at 2:30. While you are there stop by the PAT Booth and visit with Mrs. Patterson.

Easter eggs galore at school today! Each elementary class brought in eggs, and our high school students hid over 2,600 eggs throughout the day. Needless to say, we had some very excited egg hunters! 🐣🥚










Senior Spotlight today shines on Maddie Blankenship! Her future plans include attending State Fair Community College before transferring to Mizzou to pursue her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian. Maddie has been involved in several school organizations, and we are proud of all her accomplishments. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🖤❤️

Students had a blast with static electricity races using PVC pipes and soda cans, exploring how static charge can make objects move without even touching them!









Our high school Scholar Bowl team participated in the conference Scholar Bowl meet, winning two matches. Cayden received All-Conference Scholar Bowl honors—congratulations!

Third grade is pretty excited about their new baby chicks! With 16 brand new fluffy additions, they have welcomed them with open arms and already love them like family. 🐥








Our ECC students have been actively involved in welding competitions, showcasing their hard work and dedication. Just this past week, Bryan Buechter attended a welding competition at Grand River Welding Institute, where he placed in the top 10. Congratulations, Bryan!

6th grade students have been learning about how particles move in solids, liquids, and gases. During an experiment, they observed how particles move in a liquid even when it appears still—ask a 6th grader what they discovered!
