School is back in full swing and with September here, so is Character Education! This month's character trait is Self-Confidence. To have self-confidence means that you are able to believe in your own power and capabilities. Throughout the month of September, this character trait will be highlighted in Tuscumbia schools through classroom lessons with Ms. Hopkins as well as in activities and resources shared in the Lions Link. We will also be celebrating students that practice self-confidence through our Pillars of Pride! If you see a student being a person of character and practicing self-confidence, please let us know through the Pillars of Pride Student Nomination Form which can be found on the district's website in the menu under Students and Parents.

Tomorrow is our first day of a BRIGHT new school year! Morning drop off will begin at 7:30. Breakfast will be served starting at 7:45, and we will get our day started at 8:05. The Lady Lions kicked off the season with a jamboree in Versailles this afternoon. They played 4 innings against both Versailles and Dixon. They lost a close one with Versailles (5-7) and then beat Dixon (10-0.). What a great way to gain some real game experience in order to prepare for the season opener next Friday at St. Elizabeth.
It was so great to see all of our families back in the building tonight: We can’t wait to start school on Monday! Thank you to the Tuscumbia Betterment Committee for all of their hard work in putting the back to school fair together, it was definitely a success. We are so very thankful for you all!
