Tomorrow's baseball jamboree (Saturday, March 9) has been cancelled due to field conditions.
All students who are involved in MSHSAA activities are required by MSHSAA to be covered by insurance, and we have to have a policy number for that coverage. If you do not currently have insurance on your student, K & K provides a student accident policy for $30 per year that covers them during school hours and for school-sponsored activities. This only covers them in case of an accident--it is not comprehensive medical coverage--but if they are hurt during a school-sponsored event, it will cover them. There is also 24-hour coverage available for a slightly higher cost that covers them for accidents occurring outside of school. Track practice will be over at 4:30 on Thursday, and there will be no track practice on Friday due to weather and the gym closure.

We had an inadvertent all call this afternoon announcing there was an emergency in the school. At no time was there an emergency - one of the phones accidentally set the emergency alarm off. Again, there was no emergency.

I am closely monitoring the weather and road situation. At this point, although it appears we are going to get some snow, I expect the roads to be safer at bus time this afternoon than if we did an early release. At this time, I have no plans to dismiss early, but I will continue to watch the situation and let you know if that changes.
