Don't forget the meeting tonight at 4:00 p.m. (10/30), in Mr. Saylor's classroom. This is for students in grades 7-12 only. Please enter through the front main doors.

Just a reminder that PTO popcorn fundraiser forms and money are due in the building office today. Thank you for your support of our PTO!

If you pick your student up at the end of the day, there is an accident in front of the post office, and traffic may be backed up. No school vehicles are involved.

Don't forget the Fall Sports Banquet for MS Boys Basketball and HS Softball at 6:00 p.m. tonight in the gym!

PTO popcorn fundraiser forms and money are due back to the building office by Wednesday of this week. Thank you for your support of our PTO!

WE NEED SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVERS! Please consider helping us out with this. We will help you get your CDL:
Go to a testing site and take the written portion of the exam. You can access the study guide at https://dor.mo.gov/forms/CDL%20Manual.pdf or get a printed copy at any testing site. You will need to take the test for School Bus Class B with passengers. You do NOT need to test for air brakes, and all of our buses are automatics.
After you pass all portions, take the paper the testing site gives you to the license office and get your permit. You also have to take 2 forms of proof-of-residency and a photo ID.
After you get your permit, come see us--James Luttrell is our federally approved site trainer, and he will provide your training to take the pre-check and driving portions of the test. He will also take you to the testing site when you take the test. Before he does that, we will need you to complete an application and get a fingerprint background check to ensure you are eligible to work for the district--you can do this prior to getting your permit if you want to.
After you pass your test, you will take your paperwork to the license office again with 2 forms of proof-of-residency and a photo ID and get your CDL.
As soon as you have a CDL and are approved by the Board, you can sub bus routes and/or drive activity trips. Activities pay $15/hour, and bus routes pay $31.60 per route. None of our routes are over an hour.
If you are interested, feel free to contact Dr. Spencer for more information.

I forgot to put this in the Lion's Link last week--we will have a bus evacuation drill on Thursday, so if you see extra activity in front of the building as buses arrive, it's just a drill! We appreciate Mrs. Storey, our safety director, for making sure we practice our drills consistently to keep our students and staff safe in an emergency.

If you missed the fun of the alumni baseball game, food will be ready at the park a little early--around 4:00. Don't Miss classic cars, fish, and burgers!
