Talk about an amazing day with the entire Lions family. Today was the first day for the entire staff to be on campus. Lots of information was shared and planned for this upcoming year. Thank you to PTO and MSTA for visiting with staff. Thank you to Steve for the delicious pork loin for lunch!

August 15: Back to School Splash at Eldon Pool for Miller County R-III 5th-12th-grade students and families only. Hot dogs, chips, and water will be served at the Eldon Airpark Pavilion from 7:00-8:30 pm. Swimming at the Eldon Pool from 8:30-10:30 pm.

Per the passing of Missouri Senate Bill 68, the Miller County R-III School District has updated the district policy on Student Use of Personal Communication Devices. Please review the information provided that pertains to the new state law. We will be working through this change together, please bring all questions to Mrs. Burrows or Dr. Spencer. Another Teacher Workday is in the books. Today the new teachers to our school district learned how wonderful our community is with all the events, activities and resources that is offered by all. The teachers then had time to work in their classrooms to prepare for students. The elementary staff was trained on UFLI Foundations to incorporate teaching foundational skills for reading. Great job everyone!

Their passion, energy, and dedication are sure to make a difference in the lives of our students. They are already hard at work on curriculum. We had a workshop with Step Up Curriculum to start aligning our K-8th grade ELA standards.

🌟💙💛 Tuscumbia FFA Shines at the Missouri State Fair! 💛💙🌟 What a huge day for our chapter! We brought 5 students to compete in the Ag Science contest — and came home with BOTH Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion titles! 🏆🥈 Unlike the State Ag Science Fair where projects are judged within categories, today’s contest judged all projects head-to-head. And our students rose to the challenge! ✨ Grand Champion: Leila Wright ✨ Reserve Grand Champion: Cayden Patterson 👏 Participants: Bryan Buechter, Levi Snodgrass, and Alton Tellman This contest was an incredible way to prepare for Nationals — results we’re anxiously awaiting! But the good news didn’t stop there… 🌸 Mackenzie Pivarnik earned Reserve Champion with her stunning silk bridal bouquet! She also placed Gold and Silver in her other categories, including a silk boutonniere, silk wrist corsage, silk centerpiece, and silk holiday piece.
