We have been announcing our school vision statement during morning announcements. This morning we had a little contest, the first teacher that called the office and was able to recite the school mission, won a gift card. Congratulations to Mrs. White for knowing our school's vision statement. In case you are wondering.....The vision of the Miller County R-III School District is to inspire Pride in self, Pride in community, Pride in learning.
The Lady Lions and Lions had their home opener tonight. We had a great crowd of supporters. Both teams hustled and played well but the Stoutland Tigers win both games.

The Floral and Greenhouse class made a little something for all the teachers and staff to help spread some cheer and wish everyone a great school year! Our students are so talented. 💐

The Junior High basketball teams will have their first home game Monday 9/8 vs Stoutland starting at 5:00pm. The order of games will be A girls and then A boys. We hope to see everybody in the stands! Good luck to both teams!
There will be a PTO meeting tonight at 6pm in the school library. PTO is always looking for parents and community members interested in volunteering. Please stop by at the meeting if you are interested in helping.

4th grade is in the middle of a science experiment. They are using the scientific method. They will be observing what happens to the eggs that were put in water, vinegar and soda.
Flashback to elementary school with Mrs. Wood. She broke out the old school math times test. The pressure was on...some of the 2nd graders even beat me 😉!
The 3rd grade class wrote in their journals on what they would do if they were a principal for a day. It looks like there will be 20 hours of recess, with plenty of snacks and pizza with Donald Trump, John Cena and Elvis Presley. We will be birdwatching and making family bracelets, along with playing baseball all day. They have big plans being a principal!

The school district has partnered with COMC to bring its Mobile Dental Unit to our school. This program provides students with the opportunity to receive dental services during the school day. The Mobile Dental Unit is scheduled to be at school during the week of September 29.
If you would like your child to be seen by the COMC Dental team, please complete the attached registration packet and return it to the school. If you need a paper copy of the packet, contact the office, and we will be happy to provide one.

Tuesday-Boys 3:15-5:00. Girls 5:15-7:00.

Friday-Girls 3:15-5:00. Boys 5:15-7:00.
If your child has late practice they will need to go home afterschool and be brought back for practice.
