If you have a student entering kindergarten this year, join us for pizza on the playground tonight at 6:00 for a meet and greet with other parents and students. Hope to see you there!
Our Open House, Back-to-School Fair, and Extracurricular Fair will be one big event this year. Join us on Thursday, August 17, from 5:30-7:00, with a presentation for K-6 parents in classrooms beginning at 6:00 on the new math series. Community Betterment will have free basic school supplies, and there will be free athletic physicals. We look forward to seeing you there!
Don't forget the parent meeting for athletics is today at 4:00 in the cafeteria. Please use the back entrance--we're still working on the front hallway. See you there!
We still have positions available for this school year--come join the Lion Pride! We need a driver with a good driving record--no CDL required--not a bus driver position. This is a full-time position with retirement and insurance, 8 hours/day, $13/hour (3 hours of driving, 5 hours of wait time). This would be a great job for someone who has online college classes. Today is the last day for extended hours for early registration, so come by and see us--we're here until 5:00. Today is for grades 9-12, but if you haven't completed your registration, regardless of your student's grade, come by. We're also taking meal account payments.

Our teachers are hard at work today learning about our new math and reading assessment, iReady, and our new K-6 math curriculum. We appreciate their time and hard work!
If you plan to substitute this year, we are having a sub training this Thursday from 11:00-1:00. We'll go over expectations, take a tour of the building, and have lunch. If you do not currently have a sub certification and would like one, we'll have info on that, too! Email Dr. Spencer at tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us if you plan to attend so we know how many to plan for.
If your address has changed since last year, you will need to bring new proof of residency documentation when you come to register. Contact the office for a list of accepted documents.
A reminder that tomorrow begins our opportunity to fill out all of that annual enrollment paperwork early! Please come by between 7:30 and 5:00 for early registration:

Anyone interested in being a substitute for MCR3 this year, even if you've subbed in previous years, is invited to join us for a substitute teacher training on Thursday, August 3, from 11:00-1:00.
