Good afternoon! Just a quick reminder about float decorating times for tomorrow. The parade begins at 4pm at the cemetery by the school and will end at the park. Middle school students will meet in the front of the school to decorate their trucks and high school students will meet in the back of the school to decorate their trailers. See the meet times below:
5th grade = Meet at 1pm
6th grade = Meet at 1pm
7th grade = Meet at 1:30pm
8th grade = Meet at noon
9th grade = Meet at 11am
10th grade = Meet at noon
11th grade = Meet at noon
12th grade = Meet at 10am

We are going to attempt one more time to salvage part of our girls' softball season. There will be a practice on Monday, 8/21/23, after school at the ball field. If at least 9 players show up who are committed to playing softball this season, we will put in a request to MSHSAA to reinstate the team and get back on other schools' schedules. However, we cannot play any games until we can put 9 players on the field who have been to at least 14 practices, so we will not be able to play until that requirement is met. If we fall below 9 players at any point during the season, the remainder of the season will have to be cancelled. If you are interested in playing softball, you need to be there on Monday ready to practice!

The last day of teacher training today! Thank you to board member Steve Wilson for the delicious tenderloin, and to our PDC members for the great sides. We have eaten well this week!
